Sales Analyst

Classification: Full Time/Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Job Summary:

The Sales Analyst position is the primary resource to provide the Sales Team with direction to expand sales in existing accounts, identify prospects to create new accounts, and recover lost opportunities. The Sales Analyst is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting sales data to the OWH Sales Team. This data includes monitoring and analyzing customer activity, market trends and contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives. This position requires the ability to problem solve effectively, communicate clearly and work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze data over time to assist in forecasting sales trends
  • Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources
  • Work with the Controller to process sales data, sales progress reports and other sales-related reports and present actionable information and insights to team members and management
  • Evaluate third-party data to determine best practices for OWH’s success
  • Complete any projects assigned by OWH Sales Team, including but not limited to weekly and monthly reports, data entry, and any other sales support functions that may arise
  • Review past sales data to determine trends in sales and customer migration
  • In support of Amazon sales channel:
    • Review warehouse performance and coordinate with e-Comm Collective on any chargebacks and/or discrepancies
    • Review any guideline changes and implement when necessary
    • Enter purchase orders into Sage X3
    • Manage POD and offsite inventory
  • Review customer inquiries and feedback on web sales channels and respond as needed
  • Utilize CRM tools to help OWH Sales Team build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Provide support and assistance to fellow team members/departments, as needed, to meet company/team goals.
  • Act as a back-up customer resource for calls, e-mails, and voicemails when Customer Service Representatives are unavailable.
  • Comply with all OWH Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Other duties may be assigned or changed to meet business needs


Required Skills and/or Experience:

  • 2 or 4-year college graduate preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including telephone skills and computer knowledge with proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, as demonstrated in previous employment/projects
  • Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Macro design, etc.)
  • Experience with report writing software (Crystal Reports, BI, or similar)
  • Understanding of and experience with relational databases (Sage X3 [preferred], SQL, Access, Oracle, or similar)
  • SQL Programming experience
  • Must have strong commitment to company values and the ability to work in a team and sales driven environment
  • 2-3 years previous job experience with sales analysis, customer service or sales support experience
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented
  • Can move quickly and comfortably between multiple projects, managing them from start to finish
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and third-party providers daily via phone and email
  • Has a proven track record of delivering projects on-time or ahead of schedule
  • Capable of working effectively as part of a dynamic team and independently
  • Is a good listener and can act decisively, sometimes with limited information
  • Is highly motivated to help take our sales operations to the next level
  • Enjoys working with people and has a good sense of humor
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without lifting aides
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, walking frequently
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) required
